Larry Russell Scott (Plainview)

Larry Russell Scott passed away peacefully at his home the morning of June 15th, 2026 with his wife & youngest daughter by his side. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, June 18th, 2026 in the chapel at Kornerstone Funeral Home with Henry Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026 at Kornerstone Funeral Home.

Born on March 9th, 1942, in Direct, Texas, to Elmer & Mirildia (Tillie) Scott. He moved to Plainview, Texas with his family when he was 10 years old. He married Peggy Smith in 1959. Together they raised three daughters. Larry worked for Bud’s Appliance for 21 years. He started his own business “Larry’s Appliance Service,” where he served the greater South Plains until he retired in 2020. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, drag racing, and spending time with his family.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dearl Scott, one sister, JoAnn Looney, his son-in-law, Joe Soliz, & one grandson, Landon Borum.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Scott; three daughters, Pam Soliz, Connie Garcia (Tim), Angie Stephens (Samuel); one sister, Peggy Smith; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, & nieces & nephews.
