Laura Jean Hopkins (Plainview)

Laura Jean Hopkins, 81, of Lubbock passed away on August 26, 2021. A graveside service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center, Texas with Jonanna Ross officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Laura was born on January 29, 1940 to Grover Cleveland and Edna Claudia (Beeson) Sageser in Wichita Falls, Texas. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and was loved by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James Sageser, Bobby Sageser; her sisters, Margaret Peck and Mae Branson.

She is survived by her son, Monty Hopkins of Lubbock; her daughter, Debbie Garcia and her husband Scott Garcia of Flower Mound.
