Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in the Tulia Methodist Church with Rev. Jerad Middaugh, pastor of Amarillo Southlawn Assembly of God Church officiating, assisted by Rev. Sammy Espinosa, pastor of Tulia Methodist Church. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral Home.

Lenora was born on April 18, 1933, in Blanchard, Oklahoma, to Arthur and Florence Corley. She attended school in Dibble, Oklahoma. Lenora married Arnold Perry on April 18, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas on her 17th birthday. After their marriage they lived in Lubbock, Plainview, Tulia and Canyon.

She liked to talk about her cotton-picking days when she was a teenager and how it was nothing for her to throw a 100 plus pound bag of cotton over her shoulder.

She enjoyed her last job doing fundraisers for service organizations, loved to bake but most of all she loved Jesus and her family. She faithfully read her bible and took pride in being able to say the books of the bible from memory. She witnessed to and prayed for many of the residents where she lived. Lenora loved being referred to as a “prayer warrior” and that she was.

After her husband died, she continued to attend Southlawn Assembly of God Church in Amarillo with Ramona until she moved to Tulia where she attended the Methodist Church with Brenda and Bobby. On June 30, 2022, Lenora made her home at SkyWest Assisted Living Center in Canyon, Texas, where she continued to live until her death. She received the utmost care from the staff at Sky West, as well as the staff of Enhabit Hospice of Amarillo

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, her parents; three brothers: Clyde Corley, Bronell Corley, and Doyle Corley; one sister: Julia Rowland; one daughter: Inethia Taff and her husband Steve Taff, her son-in-law: Buddy Seago,  and one grandson: Johnathan Ruff.

She is survived by her daughters: Brenda Hudson and husband Bobby of Tulia, and Ramona Seago of Canyon, and one son: Douglas Perry and wife Katalina of Obermohr, Germany, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild plus two on the way. She is also survived by her sister: Janell Cambron of Oklahoma City, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Enhabit Hospice of Amarillo, 2505 Lakeview Dr. Suite 104, Amarillo, TX 79109 or to the SkyWest Assisted Living Center, 2623 W. 12th Ave., Canyon, Texas 79015.
