Lorenza Cantu Moreno (Plainview)

Lorena Cantu Moreno, 96 of Plainview passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.

Mrs. Moreno was born September 5, 1924 in Bremond, Texas to Nazario & Amalia (Martinez) Cantu.  Mrs. Moreno was a devout Catholic and prayer warrior.  She was a Guadalupana and a life long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by fifteen siblings.

Mrs. Moreno is survived by one daughter, Simona Galvan of Plainview; two sons, Domingo Montez & wife Linda of Austin and Nick Montez & wife Rachel of Plainview; one brother, Billy Cantu & wife Duella of Hereford; three sisters, Santos Hernandez of Idaho, Virginia Mongold of Hereford and Mary Soto & husband Johnny of Amarillo and Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Eugene Montez, Eddie Montez, Michael Galvan, Steven Montez, Tim Montez and Gabriel Montez
