Margaret Rodriguez Alonzo, 72, of Hale Center passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021. A funeral service will be held at a later date under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Margaret was born on May 13, 1948 in Karnes City, Texas to Genaro and Ofelia (Zambano) Rodriguez. She married Alvaro Alonzo on August 16, 1968 in Plainview, Texas. She was a member of the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Hale Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Pedro “Pete” Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband Alvaro Alonzo of Hale Center, a daughter, Melissa Alonzo of San Antonio; a son, Marcus Alonzo of La Quinta, CA, a son Jacob A Alonzo of Halfway Tx;  three brothers, Raul Rodriguez of Winters, Jose “Joe” Rodriguez of Canyon, Abel Rodriguez of Albuquerque, NM; four sisters, Selia “Sally” Gerhardt of Crowell, Belia Briseno of Hale Center, Diamentina “Montie” Gomez of Lubbock, Brenda Solano of Dallas; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
