A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 22, 2021. at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Maria was born October 2, 1956 in Cerritos, Mexico to J. Trinidad and Angela Nieto. She moved to Plainview in 2000 and married Roque Ovalle on April 8, 2005. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She participated in the community by helping the elderly with their housekeeping needs. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jesus Ibanez and Roque Ovalle, her parents, and a nephew, Juan Carlos Melendez. She is survived by two sons, Jaime Lira of Plainview, Saul Ibanez of Los Angeles, CA; her siblings, J. Jesus Nieto of Lubbock, Esperanza Nieto of Cerritos, Mexico, Ma. Guadalupe Mata of Hart, J. Candiole of Houston, Bertha Nieto of Guadajara, Mexico, Jose A. Nieto of Plainview, and Ma.
