Marjorie Ann Lemons (Plainview)

Marjorie Ann (Kidd) Lemons, age 85, passed away in Amarillo, Texas, on March 21, 2023. A visitation will be on Friday, March 24, at Kornerstone Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A private service for family will be held at a later date.

Born on September 15, 1937, to James Wallace and Mildred Kidd in Ravia, Oklahoma, Marjorie moved to Texas and married Curtis Orien Lemons on February 15, 1958, in Littlefield. Marjorie
enjoyed reading, drinking coffee, gardening, spending time with her grandkids, and watching her soap operas. She worked as a legal secretary for 50 years under the guide of Malcolm Tisdel  and Lucian Morehead.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Roy and Coy Kidd, and her sister, Betty Morgan.

She is survived by her brother, Ron Kidd, of Victoria, two daughters, Christi Campbell of Snyder, and Mitzi Tims of Lamesa; two sons, Keith “PJ” Lemons and wife Jana of Claude and Steve Lemons of Lubbock; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Marjorie will be missed by her loved ones and friends, but her fiery attitude, love for her family, and infectious laugh will remain a part of their lives each day.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that all memorials be made to 7 Star Horse Therapy, 4753 S FM-1258, Amarillo, TX 79118.
