Michael Castellon (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas – Michael Castellon, 54, of Plainview passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father David Contreras officiating with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.

Michael was born on November 16, 1967 in Tulia to Valeriano H. and Mary T. Castellon. He attended schools in Tulia. He worked for Excel Meat Plant in Plainview for over 30 years. He had a passion for fishing and loved doing it. Michael was a caring loveable, friendly, and enjoyable person to be around. He was a loving boyfriend, son, brother, father, uncle, and grandpa to his family. He was always the life of the party and loved to dance. His nephews and nieces will forever remember his as the drunk Santa. He had a love for everyone and never discriminated, as he would say “Everyone needs love too.” Always being the entertainment and would turn any get together into a dance party. He will be missed dearly by many especially his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Valeriano H. and Mary T. Castellon, his nephew, Richard A. Castellon.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Darlene Reyna of Plainview, his son, Kevin Michael Castellon  of Lubbock; his daughter, Katelyn Hargis and husband Zach of Lubbock and his step son, Damian Reyna of Plainview, his brothers, Valeriano Castellon and wife Sara of Amarillo, Robert Lee Castellon and wife Mellissa of Amarillo and Paul A. Castellon of Conroe; his sisters, Margarita Sandoval and husband Leroy, Clorinda Montanez and husband Louis of Lexington, NE and Michelle Espinal and husband William of El Paso, two grandchildren, Lyra Esquivel, and Adaline Reyna and many nieces and nephews.
