Mina Ewing (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Mina Ewing, 86, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Mina was born on July 2, 1935, in Royce City, Texas to Charles and Sally Carr. She moved to Tulia as a sophomore in High school and graduated from Tulia High. She married Jack Ewing on May 2, 1953, in Portales, New Mexico. She worked for Tulia ISD for 26 years as a teacher’s Aide. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Ewing on August 5, 2017, and her brothers and sisters, Ernestine, C. W., Bill, Roy and Geraldine.

She is survived by her children: Mike Ewing of Tulia, Leilani Pierce of Lubbock, Stacy Ewing of Tulia, and Kristi Flowers of Amarillo, six grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
