Norma Jean Ledbetter (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Norma Jean Ledbetter, 87, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 15, 2022, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Gillespie and Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.

Norma was born on September 25, 1934, in Gatesville, Texas to King Lodrick and Vera Estelle Autrey Potter. She grew up in the Roundup, Anton and Shallowater area and attended Shallowater schools. She married Thomas Ledbetter on February 16, 1959, in Littlefield. Thomas worked for Santa Fe Railroad, where they lived in Snyder, Rankin, Slaton, Littlefield, O’Donnell and moved to Tulia on March 12, 1976. Norma was a homemaker, where she loved to cook, babysit, sew, embroidery and she and Thomas made decorative cakes for a few years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Tulia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings: Bill Potter, Dalton Potter, and Melba Adams.

She is survived by her children: Cozette Young and husband Ronald of Lubbock, Starla Kubena and husband Garry of Snyder and Breland Ledbetter and wife Teresa of Tulia, three grandchildren: Kolby Kubena, Kolton Kubena and Brady Ledbetter and two great grandchildren: Kaysen Kubena and Kynsleigh Kubena.
