Norma Ornelas age 64, loving Mother of five and adoring wife to husband Joseph Ornelas (her Cowboy). Norma passed away in the early hours on December 5th after a courageous battle. Norma was born in Edinburg, TX and grew up surrounded by her family. She has four other siblings, lots of aunts, uncles and had a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews. Norma was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others and she incorporated that into her motherhood. Norma met her husband Joseph in 1981 in Altus, OK and they fell in love instantly and knew they both shared a love for family and decided to start their own in 1982. As a mother she was generous, kind hearted and loving. Norma became a grandmother in 2005 and was absolutely thrilled that her family was growing even bigger. In her free time Norma loved to listen to music and go out dancing with her Cowboy, Joseph. She will be greatly missed by her family. Especially her husband Joseph and children Leon, Christy, Eric, Joe John, Jr. and Brandon who adored her with all of their hearts.
We know you are not here physically, but were happy knowing you are no longer in pain. You are flying graciously in the heavens with your parents and brother. This is not goodbye, but until we reunite again to a wonderful woman of God, wife and beautiful mother.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Donicio and Maria Christina Guerra and one brother, Luis Guerra.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Ornelas of Lubbock, five children, Leon Donicio Ornelas and Veronica of Lubbock, Christy Ann Ornelas of Plainview, Eric John Ornelas of Lubbock, Joe John, Jr. Ornelas of Lubbock, Brandon Lee Ornelas and wife Ivory of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Jazmine Elisia Ornelas, Lincoln Ryder Ornelas, Jackson Avery Ornelas, Aubree Rose Ornales and one on the way; three siblings, Irene Zapata, Hector Guerra and Robert Guerra.
