Olivia Esquivel (Plainview)

Olivia Esquivel, 73, of Plainview went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 21, 2022. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 26, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow in Ralls at the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Rosay will be held at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Olivia Esquivel will be available for viewing starting at 4:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Olivia was born on October 14, 1948 to Raymond S. Yannis and Mary Ann Orta Yannis. She married Juan P. Esquivel on October 31, 1962. She worked at Walmart for 21 years before retiring. She spent her time watching Spanish soap operas and visiting family and friends. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Olivia is preceded in death by her husband, Juan P. Esquivel; her parents, Raymond S. Yannis and Mary Ann Orta Yannis; her brothers, Raymond Yannis and Brady “Freddie” Yannis, and her daughter Olivia Esquivel.

Olivia is survived by her daughter, Dora Garcia and husband Ricardo of Plainview; her sons, Johnny Esquivel of Amarillo, Rudy Esquivel and wife Marivel of Floydada, Oscar Esquivel and wife Sandy of Plainview, Lynn Esquivel of Plainview, Leo Esquivel of Plainview and Jordan Esquivel of Plainview; her brothers, Frank Yannis of Rockdale, Erminio Yannis of Lubbock and Victor Yannis and wife Josie of Meadow; sisters, Betty Rosa and husband George of Floydada and Mary Helen De Ochoa and husband Luis of Floydada; 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
