Phoebe was born February 1, 1930, to William Major and Susan Annette Hickman Clark. She married Bill Cypert on December 21,1952. He preceded her in death March 18, 2011. Phoebe lived 96 years on this earth. She was a house wife and a good farm hand helping her dad and later her husband as they grew crops, grew huge gardens, raised cattle here on the High Plains of Texas and a family. Some of us remember picking cotton and putting into the sacks for harvest. She loved her cows and most had names along with most every other critter on the farm including a rather large turkey named Cedrick. She and her husband Bill later had a small ranch where they raised cattle in Dickens County Tx. She served on the PTA and her church. She painted landscapes because loved the land. She was charming, feisty, determined. She had a deep connection to her family both historically and her children and children’s children. While she was able she made sure her family never missed getting together for Holidays and special occasions. She went to great lengths in making a home and preparing food for those occasions. Chased kids around for school activities, little league baseball and hauled them to church. She seemed tireless when came to her kids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Cypert and sister Jo Ann Latta.

Phoebe is survived by both sons and daughters, Larry Cypert and his wife Debbie of Amarillo, Paul Cypert and his wife D”Ann of Plainview, Sue James and her husband Ricky of Plainview, Vickie Webb and her husband Johnny of Plainview; Her grandsons and grandaughters, Dallas Cypert and his wife Aubrey of Canyon, Tx, Amanda Sneed of Lubbock, Jennifer Ragland and her husband Robert of Hale Center, Lyndsie Craig and her husband Chris of Cotton Center, Lorie Sinclair and her husband Mason of Lubbock, Ryan James of San Angelo, Kristin Wright and her husband Jonathan of Lubbock, Jason Webb and his wife Shay of Kress, Nathan Webb and his wife Shana of Dalhart; and a great host of great grandchildren.

Mom leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be held in the hearts of those who knew her well. They will be cherished, pondered and spoken of. She was unique. She will be missed. She will be remembered in many ways and loved.
