Rachel D. Gonzales (Plainview)

Rachel D. Gonzales, 67, of Plainview passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020.  Rachel was born on January 27, 1953 in Olton, Texas to Ricardo, Sr. and Nicolasa (Medina) Del Campo.  She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1971.  She then attended nursing school and became an LVN.  She worked for MHMR for many years and then for WIC for over 20 years before retiring in 2018.

Rachel loved to sew and had several projects going at one time.  She was a Baptist.  Rachel married Carlos Gonzales, Jr. on July 5, 1974 in San Angelo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Carlos “Turtle” Gonzales.

Rachel is survived by her husband, Carlos Gonzales, Jr. of Plainview; a son, Andrew Gonzales of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Bresa Marie Gonzales of San Angelo, Jaden Jackson Gonzales of San Angelo, Sean Gavin Gonzales of Lubbock; five brothers, Roger, Robert, Richard Jr., Rene, and Raymond Del Campo; and two sisters, Romelia Guzman, Rosa Del Campo Ortiz.
