Ramiro Guel Bustos (Plainview)

Ramiro Guel Bustos was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the age of 92. He passed peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Ramiro was born on August 12, 1934, in Edinburg, Texas, to Juan and Julia Guel Bustos. He married Maria Alma Adame on March 17, 1963, in Raymondville, Texas.

Ramiro proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked for many years as a labor contractor, helping migrant workers and their families. His life was also deeply rooted in his faith and his calling to serve God. For 25 years, he faithfully served as pastor of Templo Jericho IPHC in Littlefield, Texas.

Ramiro is survived by his loving wife, Maria Alma Bustos; his children, Eli (Belinda) Bustos, Cynthia (Victor) Villalon, and Alysha Bustos; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Pedro Urrutia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Julia Guel Bustos; his brothers, Ignacio G. Bustos, Benito G. Bustos, and Lupe G. Urrutia; his sisters, Ignacia Bustos, Maria Esperanza DeLeon, Juanita Reyna, and Eulalia B. Martinez; his daughter, Belinda Bustos; and his son, Dickey (Dexter) Bustos.

Ramiro was a true servant of God who found great joy in reading his Bible and sharing the Word of God with others. His faith guided his life, and his love for God and his family was evident to all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime. The seeds of faith he planted in others will continue to grow for generations to come.

A Celebration of Life for Ramiro Bustos will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Elim Worship Center, with Rev. Roger Muñoz and Pastor Roy Vasquez officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Visitation and a prayer service will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the funeral home.
