Raquel Carrasco (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Raquel Saldaña Carrasco, 78, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Central Church of Christ with Pastor Jose Limas, Jr. officiating. Memorial services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Raquel was born on March 28, 1945, in Meoqui. Chihuahua, Mexico to Gabriel and Seberiana (Garcia) Saldana. She married Meliton Carrasco in 1962. Raquel was a prayer warrior of great faith and loved to go to church anywhere she went. She was a compassionate and social person. Raquel loved to sew and mend clothes and loved to travel all over and had a sweet tooth especially if it had coconut.  She collected knickknacks of everything.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Gabriel and Seberiana Saldana, her siblings; Maria Saldana, Alfonzo Saldana, and Ramon Saldana and her husband; Meliton Carrasco and her great-grandson, Isaac Bute.

She is survived by her four sons, Milton Carrasco, Jr. & wife Christine of Albuquerque, NM, Juan Carrasco and wife Elsa of Tulia, TX, Michael Carrasco, and wife Laura of Canton, OH, and Saul Carrasco and wife Irma of Ft. Worth, TX, her three daughters, Annabell Carrasco of Midland, TX, Josie Carrasco of Midland, TX, and Norma Irene Carrasco and husband Alejandro Garcia of Tulia, TX, one brother, Jose Saldana of Albuquerque, NM, one sister, Lourdes Limas of Dimmitt, TX, 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
