Raul M. Cisneros (Plainview)

Raul Mendez Cisneros went to live in his heavenly home on December 17, 2025. He was born to Rafael Cisneros and Maria Mendez Cisneros on September 24, 1944 in Raymondville, Tx.

Raul was raised in Raymondville by his mother after enduring the loss of his father at the young age of 10 years old, and later moved to the Texas Panhandle around age 21.

He married the love of his life Tabita Gonzalez on December 18th, 1966 in Lubbock, TX. They were inseparable, taking life as a team. They proudly welcomed their three children Raul Jr, Randy and Renea.

Raul worked at the Excel Beef Packing Plant (also known as Cargil) and retired after 36 years. He served in his church, Templo Sinai as a member for over 40 years. While not formerly trained, he was gifted in carpentry, which led him to build his and his wife’s dream home. He loved being a dad, providing for his family, gardening, cooking outdoors, and enjoying all the moments with his grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of faith in God, endurance and determination.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Tabita, his son Raul Jr. Cisneros, his son Randy, and wife Ida Cisneros, and daughter Renea and husband Jacob Cerda. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Regina Cisneros, Rashell Munoz, Alyssa Pedroza, Makayla Pedroza, Raniah Cisneros, Rosalyn Cisneros, Raylee Cerda, Rheya Cisneros and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his grandson Ricardo Cisneros, his parents Rafael and Maria Cisneros, his sister Maria Elena Mares, and brother Robert Cisneros.

He is survived by his brothers Rafael Cisneros of Raymondville, brother Reyes Cisneros of Austin, and sister Janie Deluna of Plainview.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23rd at Kornerstone Funeral Directors at 2pm. Burial will follow at Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center, TX.

Pallbearers will be Raul Cisneros Jr., Randy Cisneros, Jacob Cerda, Audelio Villalon, Michael Hernandez, and Ishmael Soto.
