Rose Grimes (Plainview)

Rose Green Grimes, 86, formerly of Petersburg passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Amarillo.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 in the Kornerstone Chapel in Plainview with Chuck Allmon officiating and Ronnie Hedges assisting.  Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Kornerstone.

Rose Marie Green was born on June 13, 1936 in Borger, Texas to George Robert and Clifford Ann (Davis) Green. She grew up in Borger and attended schools there and graduated from Borger High School.  Rose attended Texas Tech University.  She married Bert Grimes on August 19, 1956 in Borger. She was an educator and served many communities including Crosbyton, Amherst, Shallowater, New Home, Three Way and Petersburg.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Most importantly she was a beloved wife, mother, and Nandy.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Grimes; parents; and a brother, Donald Ray Green.

Survivors include her two daughters, Debbie Boyer and husband Rodney of Canyon, Amy Lopez of Gaithersburg, Maryland; five grandchildren, Micah Boyer and wife Jessica of Wichita Falls, Becca Brooke and husband Joshua of Canyon, Blake Boyer of Dallas; Ann Marie Adrian and husband Jarin Erickson of Gaithersburg, Matthew Adrian of Gaithersburg; and seven great grandchildren, Rylynn, Liam, Annlee, Annica, Jack, Jane, and Thea.

The family suggests memorials to be sent to the First Methodist Church in Amherst, 508 Washington, Amherst, Texas 79312.
