Lexington until his honorable discharge in 1968. Upon his return to Plainview, he worked at Don and Shorty’s Automotive where he started a long career as an auto mechanic. From then on, he enjoyed his retirement by camping, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for many years until joining First United Methodist Church. In both, he was very active as a deacon, in Methodist Men, and in Sunday School classes where he enjoyed visiting and worshiping with many, many friends.
