Ruben Rosales, 73, of Tulia passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 5, 2026 in the Kornerstone Directors Chapel with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel of Tulia.

A prayer service will be held at 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in the Kornerstone Chapel.

Ruben was born on December 18, 1952, in Piedra Negras, Mexico to Eduviges and Blasa (Lopez) Rosales.

His strong work ethic was evident from an early age, as he contributed to his family’s livelihood. Before relocating to the United States in the 1970s, Ruben worked in a manufacturing company in Mexico. Upon arriving in America, he carved a path as a laborer, notably working for James Standred Pump in the water well industry, at Roll-A-Cone, and in various farming roles. His hands were weathered from years of diligent work in agriculture, a testament to his commitment to providing for his family.

Ruben found great joy in simple pleasures: playing hisguitar the (Bajo Sexto), spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and delving into mechanical work. His Sundays were often spent at church in Plainview, where his spirit resonated with warmth and kindness. Above all, Ruben treasured time with his family, especially his only son, Jose, with whom he shared a bond that will forever be cherished.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eduviges and Blasa Rosales; four siblings, Andres Rosales, Mercedes Zapata, Rosendo Rosales and Jose Angel Rosales.

He is survived by his only son, Jose Angel “Joey” Rosales and wife Melissa of Tulia and several nieces and nephews.
