Rudolph A "Rudy" Ebeling, 74, of Plainview passed away on February 25, 2022 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the St. Alice Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in the Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held on Monday evening, February 28, 2022 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Rudy was born on March 9, 1947 in Plainview, Texas to Ernest and Mary Ann Ebeling. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. Rudy served in the U.S. States Army during Vietnam. He then attended West Texas State University for one year before returning home to work for his father and uncles. Rudy later went to work for himself and was a metal fabricator for many years. He loved riding his motorcycle and loved to travel. He was a proud member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association and a member of St. Alice Catholic Church. Rudy was Jane's Mr. Fix It and could fix just about anything.
Survivors include his wife Jane Ebeling of Plainview; three sons, Isaac DeLeon of Slaton, Kevin Ebeling of Levelland, James DeLeon of Amarillo; two brothers, Bill Ebeling and Max Ebeling both of Plainview; sister, Roberta Leatherwood of Kress; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, or your local VFW.
