Sandra Faye "Sandy" Reat Cash, 76, passed from this life Monday, January 19th, 2026. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22nd, 2026 at Central Church of Christ in Tulia, Texas, with time for visitation after the service.
Sandy was born May 9, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas, to Calvin Walter and Dorotha Faye Kelley Reat.
She lived in Lubbock for most of her growing up years, aside from a couple of years in Pasadena, Texas. Sandy attended Lubbock High but finished up at Lubbock Christian High School. She then attended Lubbock Christian College. There she met the love of her life, Terry Don Cash. They both finished up at LCC and married June 12, 1970, at Southside Church of Christ in Lubbock. This began an adventure of just over 55 years that led her from farming & school teaching to managing a bed and breakfast to retirement facility management and finally into insurance adjusting, all of which allowed them to travel into or through all 50 states. Just outside of Dickens, on the farm is where they made their home while raising their three kids, Kelley, Jennifer, and Heather, going to school and church in Spur. In October 2021, they made the decision to move to Tulia to be closer to Jennifer and family.
Here they were members of Central Church of Christ. Sandy has been known by several names:
Sandra by her baby sister; "Filthy Lucre" and "Dirty Money" by her friends in college; Mrs. Cash by her students, Mom to her children; but her favorite name to answer to was Mimi by her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Mimi loved her Lord, her beautiful plants and back yard, her cooking, her praise and worship music, but especially her kids, grands and greats!
She was preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Dot Reat & in-laws C.D. and Arvella Cash.
She is survived by her husband, Terry, of 55 years, her son Kelley Cash, and wife Jamie of Big Spring, daughters Jennifer Brown and husband Toby of Tulia, and Heather Cash of New Braunfels. Five grandchildren, Ashton Raschke and wife Kelsey, Leslie Riddle and husband Tyler, Justin Brown and wife Macey, Laura Spann and husband Dylan, and Emma Brown. Eight great-grandchildren, one on the way, Addison, Emelyn, and Jett Raschke, Boston and baby girl Riddle, Ellie and Weston Brown, Birdie and Kit Spann, one older brother Larry Reat and wife Kay, younger sister Bonnie Wells and husband Stan, brother-in-law Gary Cash, and wife Danice, 2 aunts (Lorraine & Arjorie) numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Central Church of Christ, Mission Fund, P.O. Box 357, Tulia, Texas 79088
