Saul Briones (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Saul Briones 49, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Father David Contreras officiating.

A Rosary will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kornerstone Chapel.

Saul was born on July 1, 1972 in Tulia to Ricardo and Maria “Margarita” (Montoya) Briones. He graduated from Tulia High School in 1991. Saul enjoyed playing sports such as football and soccer. He loved to cookout, camping, fishing and show off his dance moves. Saul had a sense of humor, making everyone laugh but most of all he loved spending time with his two boys, nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Briones; his sister, Sandy Briones and his brother, Rene Briones.

He is survived by his children, Saul Sylvester Briones, Jr., Benjamin Joe Briones both of Tulia and Cecilia Briones of Kress; his mother, Maria “Margarita” Briones of Tulia; his siblings, Ricardo Briones, Jr., Joe Briones, Javier Briones and Norma Vargas all of Tulia and his friend, Michelle Briones of Kress.
