Shelly Jo Oliver "Grammy" (Plainview)

Shelly Jo Oliver, aka "Grammy", 49, of Plainview, Texas passed away on November 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas at 12:00 P.M. with Henry Martin officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Her fiery personality blessed Kathy Logsdon and Johnny Woodard in Dalhart, Texas on January 24, 1974. She attended Claude High School and graduated in 1992. She married the love of her life, James Oliver, on January 8, 2011 in Panhandle, TX. They lived a beautiful life together for 16 years. Shelly loved traveling with her husband, James. They frequented drag races all over the state of Texas, where she loved the adrenaline rush and smell of the event. She always wanted to be around her family (well mostly her dogs Scooter and Chica) and watching her grand babies grow. Shelly was so proud of her daughter Nikki and watching her play volleyball, especially the time they got to spend together the last couple of years traveling to games. Most important, Shelly was always there for her friends and family and would go out of her way to help them. Now, we find Shelly is finally at rest and I will always hold her close within me. I hope you do the same in your heart and spirit. She is preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Logsdon, stepfather Jimmie Lee Logsdon, grandparents Geneva and Marion Maddox, mother-in-law Debbie Oliver, and father-in-law Johnny Oliver. She is survived by husband James Oliver, daughters Nicole Oliver, Cortney and spouse Jon Wayne Trask of Bushland, TX. Brother John R. Woodard and spouse Denise of Lubbock, TX. Father Johnny Woodard and wife Kathy of Lefors, TX. Brother-in-law Michael Oliver and wife Lindsay of Magnolia, TX. Stepsons Christopher and Zachary Oliver of Plainview, TX. Nephew, Cameron. And grandchildren, Aubri, Kaigen, Ryder, Emma, Ella, and August. Many cousins, friends, and other family. Any donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in honor of her name.
