Susan Adella Voyles (Plainview)

Susan Adella Voyles, age 68, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Monday, February 21, 2022 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel (3605 SW 3^rd St., Plainview, TX 79072).  Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Kornerstone.

Born August 4, 1953 in Torrance, CA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Ella Louise Clark Price. She was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith. Susan was a graduate of Plainview High School and earned an associate degree from American Commercial College in Lubbock, TX. She had worked in the commissary of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She liked to crochet, read, bake and decorate cakes and do crafting. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

Susan is survived by her husband, Jack Darrell Voyles, Sr., at home, her children, LaNell Elaine Nutt and her husband Ricky of Sweetwater, TX, Jennifer Denise James and her husband Jason of Hale Center, TX, Jack “JD” Voyles, Jr. and his wife Renee, and Jason Craig Voyles and his wife Ashley, all of Berkeley Springs, one brother, Ronnie Price of Plainview, TX, one sister, Vivian Oaks of Denton, TX, 12 grandchildren, Whitney, Aaron, Anthony, Macy, Tanner, Brennen, Bailey, Taylor, Kelly, Hanna, Shiloh, Jacob, Whitney, Wesley and Tiffany, two great grandchildren, Dalton and Elliana and many nieces and nephews. She was “Mom” to many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Gene Skinner and one sister, Janice Young.
