Thelma B. Singer (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Thelma B. Singer, 94, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 3, 2023, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. John Gillespie. Pastor of First Baptist Church of Tulia, officiating. A burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Thelma was born on September 23, 1928, in Montague County, Texas to Claude and Bertha Underwood. She grew up in Nocona and attended Nocona High School. She married Norman Singer on November 2, 1944, in Nocona. They moved to Port Neches and later moved to Littlefield and farmed. They moved to Tulia in 1962 where they farmed and sold real estate. They were members of Calvary Baptist Church from 1962 until 2010. She joined First Baptist Church a few years ago.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters: Ruby Koleman and Pat Skinner, one brother: Otis “Sonny” Underwood, her daughter: Judy Gale Singer and her granddaughter: Jennifer Singer.

She is survived by her daughter: Kay Foster and husband Leon of Tulia, her son: Randy Singer and wife Carolyn of Tulia, three sisters: Vone Hughen of Altus, Oklahoma, Sybil Hollenbeck of Altus, Oklahoma and Sue Nash of Del City, Oklahoma, four grandchildren: Teresa Borchardt and husband Rex, David Foster and wife Alisha, Blake Singer and Laci Alexander and husband Zane and five great grandchildren: Kara Petty and husband Rob, Jenna Foster, Ava Singer, Keegan Alexander and Aiden Alexander and twin great, great granddaughters on the way.
