Mrs. Ernestina (Tina) Garcia, a dedicated and hardworking woman, passed away on March 1, 2026, in Tulia. A service will be held at Brownfield Texas cemetery on Saturday, July 25, 2026. More details will be available as the date gets closer.

Tina was born on November 11, 1940, in Weslaco, Texas, she was the daughter of Zaragoza and Cruz Trevino. Tina lost her father at a young age, and her stepfather was Pedro Charles. She married Jose A Garcia on May 26, 1958.Mrs. Garcia helped her Husband on the farm and worked for Royal Park Sewing Company from the time it opened until the doors final closing. She made candles and pottery, then in her later years she worked as a caregiver to many. She found joy and purpose in landscaping her yard and helping her husband with his landscaping business. A woman of many hobbies, particularly enjoyed sewing and crochet.

The Garcia family expresses their gratitude to Vital Caring Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Mrs. Garcia and family during her final days. She is preceded in death by her parents, Zaragoza Trevino (Father), Pedro (Stepfather) and Cruz Charles, her two sons, Michael Anthony Garcia and Leroy Daniel Garcia, and 4 brothers, Butch, John, Paul Trevino and Domingo Jimenez.

She is survived by her son, Billy Ray Garcia and wife Carmen of Tulia, her daughter, Bobbie Jo (Garcia) Vanek and husband Michael of Yoakum, TX, her Sisters, Vickie and Husband Max Moreno, of Brownfield, TX, and Lupe Cuevas of Kingsville, TX, and Mary Charles of San Angelo, Texas, her daughter-in-law, Maria Garcia of Kress, TX, her Grandchildren, T.J. Garcia, Felicia Register, Joe David Garcia, Zachary Basaldua, Britni Benjamin, Jacob Basaldua, Maureen Cora Garcia, Mariah Jo Basaldua, and Ashley Broome and twelve great grandchildren.
