Tomasa Garcia De Mireles (Plainview)

Tomasa Garcia De Mireles, 84, of Plainview passed away on March 19, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Templo Sinai in Plainview, Texas. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview.

She was born on December 10, 1941 to Magdaleno and Soledad Garcia in Tula, Mexico. Tomasa brought joy to her family through her love and dedication, particularly her cherished role as a grandmother. She found immense happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, sharing laughter and stories that will forever be in their hearts. Known for her incredible cooking skills, especially her famous gorditas, she filled her home with warmth and flavor, creating memories that will forever be with her family. Tomasa embraced her role as a grandmother with determination and strength, with values that she passed down to her family. Her strength and work ehtic were a testament to her character, inspiring those around her. She was so loved and will be missed by many family and friends.

Tomasa is survived by her children, Jose F. Mireles; Martha Leyva of Midland, Nicolasa Mireles of Lubbock, Juan Mireles; Irma Lucio of Plainview, Sandra Carillo; Miguel Carillo of Levelland, Leonel and Bertha Mireles of Plainview, Robert Jr. Mireles (Son/Grandson) of Plainview. Blessed with 26 grandkids, 41 great grandkids, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Tomasa is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Mireles, her parents, Magdaleno and Soledad Garcia, her two sons Roberto Mireles and Abdiel Mireles, and one Grandson Jose Fernando Lucio.
