Virgal "Peaches" Minyard (Tulia)

Silverton, Texas—Virgal "Peaches" Minyard, 81, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 in the Silverton Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Rev. GJ Walton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Virgal was born on December 16, 1939 in Boswell, Oklahoma to Jewell “Bud” and Ruby Minyard. He grew up in Silverton and attended Silverton Schools. He married Latresa Cox on July 8, 1965. He worked for Silverton Oil Co. for 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Betty Massengale and Nete Sample.

He is survived by his wife: Latresa Minyard of Silverton, his daughter: Stacy Minyard of Silverton, his son: Kendall Minyard and wife Trish of Spur, his brother: Truman “Bud” Minyard of Joplin, Missouri and two grandsons: Allen Minyard of Spring and Hunter Darnell of San Angelo. He is also survived by special friends: Viola and Johnny Black, Zeola Taylor, Virginia Clardy and Ricky Clardy.
