Wanda Love (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas— Wanda C. Love, 81, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 7, 2023, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Charles Davenport officiating with burial following in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 AM, December 7, 2023, at the funeral home.

Wanda was born on March 16, 1942, in Turkey, Texas to Jimmy D. and Wanda Zane (Crump) Blackwell. She attended schools in Tulia and later married Sherwood Love on August 24, 1959. Wanda was a homemaker taking care of her two children, Kim and Frank. Wanda went to work with her Aunt Jane Ford at the Tulia Floral and then went to work at the El Camino as a bookkeeper for more than 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tulia. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Zane Loftin, her biological father, Jimmy D. Blackwell, her husband, Sherwood Love and her sister, Glenda Crump. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Hunt of Ruston, LA., her son, Frank Love and wife Gena of Amarillo, TX., her grandchildren, Cody Love, Stefanie West and husband Doug, Brandon Hunt and wife Brittany and Justin Hunt and his partner Chase, her great grandchildren, Cayden West, Carleigh West, Felicity Hunt, Cash Hunt, River Hunt, Sawyer Hunt and Lennon Hunt.
