Warren Brent Overbey (Plainview)

Brent Overbey, 66, passed away on June 9, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1960, in Childress, Texas.

Brent was a devoted father, grandfather, and family man who loved deeply and fiercely. He will be remembered for his love of rock and roll music, the guitars he cherished, and the joy he found in sharing his passions with those around him. Those who knew him will remember his unique spirit, his love for music, and the pride he took in his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Hali McGuire, and her husband, Richard McGuire, and their children, Elizabeth Overbey, Danae Nichols, Caelub Vega, and Brianna Vega; his son, Steven Overbey; his daughter, Janae Glaze, and her husband, Lucas Glaze, and their children, Aaron Glaze, Brooks Glaze, and Raylan Glaze; and his nephew, Zachary Ray Overbey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Overbey; his mother, Mary Carolynn Reavis; and his brother, Asher Ray Overbey.

Brent’s greatest joy in life was being a father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, listening to rock and roll, and playing his guitars. The memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Brent passed away as a result of suicide. His family hopes that his story serves as a reminder that struggles are often unseen and that compassion, understanding, and support can make a difference in the lives of those who are hurting.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
