Kornerstone Funeral Directors will host a visitation Friday, February 12th from 6-8:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 13th at 10:00 A.M. at Plainview Memorial Park. A private, family memorial service will follow under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Preceding her in death were her parents, James F. and Bebe Harris, and a sister, Vicky, who died at birth. She is survived by her husband, Rudd Owen, two daughters, Meredith Riddle & husband Trent of Ransom Canyon, Lauren King & husband Lance of Plainview; a sister Jan Owen & husband Ross of Plainview; six grandchildren, Brennon, Lincoln, Hogan, and Sutton Riddle, and Ethan and Tristan Collier, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their most heartfelt appreciation to Laurie Hall and Area Community Hospice, Beverly Howard, Dr. Sergio Lara, and Connie’s Compassionate Care for the love and care they showed through serving her in her illness. Julie was born June 8, 1953 to James (Jim) F. and Bebe Harris in Marshall, Texas. Following high school graduation, she attended Baylor University where she met the love of her life, Rudd Owen. Julie had a talent with numbers and worked in a real estate firm until they were married October 1, 1977 and moved to Plainview. Julie began her favorite job as homemaker and mother with the birth of their first child. She served many years as a room mother and PTA member. Julie was a dedicated member of Chapter CZ of PEO where she served as treasurer for over twenty years. Julie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister and friend. She was always known for her compassionate, kind, quiet spirit. She was passionate about her faith and the Word of God. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Baptist Church of Plainview, Texas or Area Community Hospice.
